Managing Director of Al-Futtaim Motors Simon Frith affirmed that none of Toyota vehicles were withdrawn from the UAE markets but the company asked owners of certain car models to carry out maintenance works at company service centers.
In remarks to “al-Khaleej” newspaper, Mr. Frith ruled out that Avalon and Sequoia models (2005-2010) experienced technical problems in accelerator pedals due to weather conditions in the UAE.
He said two models, among eight modes affected by the USA campaign, have been sold out in the UAE markets by al-Futtaim Motors and, however, they constitute not more than 1% of overall sales. He also dismissed media reports on withdrawal of any models from the UAE markets. To provide the highest standards of customer services, he said, the company will launch same campaign made in the USA to implement maintenance works in the above two models.
